Shadow walked lazily and slowly down the abandoned train tracks. This was a usual night for her. A night spent out exploring and thinking to herself. She would always keep her eyes peeled for occasional game. However, she was usually too lost in thought to really pay attention to wandering animals. She would usually never walk the same path two nights in a row however, lately she had been going down the same path every night. She enjoyed being by the train tracks because it was always quiet. No one ever came down this way anymore and so it made for a perfect place to think. Tonight was Also the perfect night to be out walking. The moon was a huge full moon which seemed to light up the night.
Shadow kept walking down along the tracks; her dark black coat blending into the shadows of the night. That was how she got the name Shadow, because she could always blend into the shadows. She let memories and thoughts come rushing into her head, not paying attention to anything else. One thing that was always on her mind was how much she hated lab dogs. To her, even though she was not normally mean, lab dogs were no better than trash. To her, any canine that would give up their dignity and stop fighting for what they believed in was trash. Lab dogs were one of the few things she truly hated other than certain males and, of course, humans. That is why, Shadow made it her job to hunt down each and every lab dog out there.
Shadow kept walking, and thinking, for a good long while. She was finally completely lost in her thoughts. So much to where she was really not conscious of the world around her. If she did not know this land as well as she did, she probably would have already gotten lost or injured since the only way she knew where she was walking and where everything was, was because of her memories. She would have continued on for much longer like this except, something caught her attention and made her snap back to reality. A wolf. She could smell the smell of another wolf.
I'm moving. I'm thinking. "I'm listening to you." "Listen to me."

The sun had stepped down and allowed its brother to take hold of the land, and tonight he was feeling particularly bold. Bright, bleached light filtered down from the full moon above to rest gently upon rust-covered train tracks. The aged metal pieces seemed to extend on forever into the distance, their ancient frames still hoping that one day something other than a canine may pass along them. Rotten wood planks ran like rungs between the two metal beams to connect them. A warm summer air had mixed in with the shadows, floating down from the heavens to cloak the lands in its temperature. In all, the night was a wonderful time to be out, humans not daring to set foot out at the time.
Only as it passed a beam of moonlight, could a massive, ebony form be noticed. Paw steps were shrouded in silence, no sound produced as the creature moved along with ghost-like fluidity. As he passed the area of illumination, he seemed to disappear into the shadows again as they settled onto his pelt welcomingly. Muscles rippled beneath hide as pillars moved their hefty load along, each foot placed carefully as to not allow his presence made obvious. Cranium was held low, mismatched lenses moving in their sockets every now and then, scanning the dimly lit terrain for any new information.
Nothing different was about, just the girl that had been there for some time. Twisted mind had begun to wonder when she’d notice, or if she would at all, when crimson and silver orbs detected a slight change in body language. Limbs brought the colossus to a halt, and jaws parted to allow the glacial, baritone voice to slip into the air, "Pleasant night for a stroll, isn't it girl?" The jagged whisper of speech seemed to twist about, and then vanish into the atmosphere as eyes gave a hollow, emotionless stare to the female’s back. A soft exhale of breath was barely audible, the titan standing motionless as he waited to view this other wolf’s front.
I'm after you. I think you'll taste wonderful. "Your last words." "I'm laughing as I walk from your body."

Shadow stood there, ears up and attentive as she listened for the other wolf she had smelt. As she stood their watching and listening, it wasn't long before she heard the wolf behind her. She stood there motionless as she growled quietly. When the wolf spoke, she could tell that it was male. She could also smell the scent of a male. "Pleasant night for a stroll, isn't it girl?" the wolf whispered. As Shadow spoke, she could sense the wolf's eyes staring at her. "Yes, It is. And my name is Shadow." The she wolf replied as she slowly turned around and faced the wolf. Her head held high and her body posture straight and tall.
As Shadow turned around and had her first look at the wolf, she could tell two things about the other wolf. First, he was a black wolf and, like Shadow herself, blended easily into the darkness and shadows. He also had a numb and emotionless look to him. He was standing perfectly still, the sound and sight of breathing almost invisible. As Shadow saw that she could not tell what the other wolf was thinking or how he felt, like she could with almost all other canines, she suddenly felt a strange feeling and she growled quietly to herself. She wasn't afraid of the wolf but she was not really sure of him either. At least, not yet. However, her overall calm demeanor wouldn't let her show the other wolf anything but confidence, As she felt like that was what she needed to show towards this strange male wolf. She didn't know, yet, if he was a viscous wolf or not and so wanted to show as much dominance and strength as she could. So, she continued to hold her head high and have a straight and tall body posture.
As Shadow stood there, looking over the over the wolf with curious eyes, she started to think, as usual. She couldn't help but notice the similarities in her and the other wolf. They were both black and blended in well with the night. They also both showed as little emotion as possible. They were both mysterious in a way.
I'm moving. I'm thinking. "I'm listening to you." "Listen to me."

A crooked grin splintered the hollow features, offering a glimpse of insanity as it writhed its way up the monster’s face and revealed ivory weaponry. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, my dear. You may call me Corrosive," vocals seeped from the small space maw had parted to speak. Not a lid blinked as the female turned herself about to face her company, each lens not wishing to miss a single action or movement. As front was revealed, senses set to work immediately, prying any and all information they could from her. Nostrils flared and her scent was pulled in. The reek of the labs did not linger around her; she was untouched. Lips remained pinched up as mismatched orbs twitched in their sockets, running the hauntingly distant and chilled gaze over her figure. A normal wolf, uncorrupted by the disease of the humans’ experiments. Shaded fur tones, and brown eyes, almost like he used to be. Posture was held high, expelling a very confident and dominant air. Was there really something to do this for? An exhale of a chuckle was produced as the female’s actions tickled a little amusement within the abomination’s throat.
Another breath was released into the warm, tender air, and gaze was pulled from it survey of the femme to meet her eyes. Hooks dug into the earth below them, anchoring their burden to the surface as motion remained absent. If she wished to play, the fiend would be glad to. Banner was raised level with back to oppose the girl’s stance, pillars holding up the massive frame high. Lips were still curled into their disturbed position, eyelids still refusing to move as judgmental pools stared into the female’s. Jaws unhinged and vocals were sent forth, "You do not appear to of belonging to any place. Am I correct?" A loner was what this one was, and that’s exactly why there was barely a reason to play such foolish games, though the brute himself was going along with it. It was always entertaining when another did such things without knowledge of what kind of apathetic monster stood before them.
I'm after you. I think you'll taste wonderful. "Your last words." "I'm laughing as I walk from your body."
