Song Pack
Considered the most vicious pack, the Rancor Pack is secretive, recluse and aggressive. They protect themselves and their territory with almost unnecessary vigor. They frown on the lab dogs and kill any that get too close, but are more than happy to leave them alone if they stay away. They're willing to kill for territory and have been known to attack humans in the past.
Sanctuary Pack
The most friendly of the city packs, the Sanctuary Packs sympathize with and pity the lab dogs. Any that escape are welcome in this pack, unlike with Rancor. The pack wants to heal dogs afflicted by humans and more than one member has a sob story of some sort. Sunny in persona and easy going, they are the most approachable of the Cold Creek Packs.
Shadow Pack
This is the only pack in Cold Creek that consists singularly of escaped lab dogs. They keep to themselves as much as possible, fearful of persecution from other packs, but in general their intentions are ruled by whoever leads the pack. If a blood thirsty lab dog rules, the pack will be aggressive and dangerous. If a passive dog leads, they will be peaceful and kind. No one knows where they live or, often, who even leads them.
Lab Canines
Less of a pack and more of a forced coexistence, the canines in the labs consist of domestic and wild canines. They either learn to coexist or kill each other when released. These dogs can be of many kinds. Some are kind, some are frightened, some are stubbornly bold and others are just plain blood thirsty. Typically they are shunned from dog society because of the tags in their ears, the lab issued collars or the chips in their fur. Packs fear them and hate them, especially wolf packs and the King Pack. Some lab dogs may have ear tags or tracing collars which can be removed. Other packs fear that they have microchips in them and shun them but this is only a myth, the lab does not use microchips except on certain dogs.
Fleet Pack
The first of two wolf packs around Cold Creek, these wolves are generally of a tolerant nature. They won't instantly kill a dog they find, though they won't be too happy about the invasion of their territory. They tend to be sound of mind and can be brought to reason, though they despise mutated canines. More than one wolf from their pack has escaped the labs and come home only to be killed by the family they sought. The Fleet Pack is fearful of being wiped out by human experiments or dominated by mutated freaks.
King Pack
A pack made up of wolves and dogs, the King Pack specifically hunt lab escapees. They feel that such canines are unnatural and do not deserve to exist. Humans kill them, so that means they are not meant to live outside of the lab. They are aggressive, stubborn and set in their ways. Named after King, the first normal dog to kill a lab dog, they do not hesitate to kill anyone they so much as suspect of being in the lab. For example, if a she-dog comes to their land and smells like the lab, even if she has no powers, they will kill her.
Song Pack
Fearful of humans and lab dogs alike, the Song Pack concerns itself with internal affairs only. The struggles of street dogs and other packs are no concern of theirs while there are pups to feed and prey to catch. They turn a blind eye to the cries of help from mutated canines. Wolves that escape the labs come to them for help only to be thoroughly ignored. They are not killed on sight, but they are forced from the territory.
